With the help of our Managing Trustee, Udayakumar N, we have a firm resolve to bring about an actual change. Our activity starts with outreach throughout Kerala and further. We have been proactive in gathering information on destitute seniors in need whether it is by community networks, referral or direct outreach and make sure that people who need our services are aware that we are always open. Despair is not a quality we found adequate to reject; we are sure that no old person deserves to be left without compassion, respect, and care no matter how they were, or how they are.
Our vision is the rehabilitation of helpless Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and other older adults who have been banished and abandoned by their immediate family members. Most of these elderly would have invested their best years of life working hard in other countries, remitting money back home, creating a brighter future to their children, and savoring what they thought were invincible ties of love and appreciation. However, during their old age when they are back in search of solace and companionship, they usually get deserted, forgotten, or even rejected. Such a tragic fact makes them helpless, lonely and deprived of their basic needs.
